'Twas
‘Twas begins in Mexico, 1963. Andy Warhol is collaborating with the Mexican aerospace institute/blanket factory to jettison Christmas presents in outer space. Many decades later, one of the wrapped parcels makes it’s way through a distant nebula in the remote Bibim-Bop sector and into the hands of energy beings, Sambal Oelek and Nasi Goreng. The package contains the book, The Night Before Christmas. The energy beings are fascinated by the character of Santa Clause and decide to travel to Earth to apprentice under him and learn how to harness his time traveling ability.
Sambal and Nasi land somewhere in India and mistake a nog swilling drunkard, named Sinder Clause, for Pere Noel. Sinder Clause embraces his mistaken identity and moves to the North Pole where he sets up a toy factory in rural power station #6. To his surprise, he begins to receive mail from children expressing their Christmas wish lists. Sinder is drawn to one particular list from conjoined twins, Sage and Dakoda. They ask Santa for a toy boat and some sea shells respectively but Sinder decides that, because their bodies are attached, he will combine their ideas into one mega-gift. He draws up some plans for the S.S. Hydro Scallop 3000- an underwater action/adventure vessel capable of exploring the deep sea. On Christmas morning, Sinder presents the ship to the twins and states that Sage and Dakota will be his skippers on a mission to discover the sunken city of Atlantis.
This tale is continued in the next piece, The Dream Weaver.
