Set only a few weeks before the release of their first album, Simon and Farfenougan are told that their band mate, Dave Hunter, has been taken hostage. The kidnappers are from the planet Bismuth and are disgruntled by the inclusion of their secret mating calls on the folk music recording. They demand that every copy of the recording be given to them in exchange for Dave Hunter.
